"Anita's Heaven" begins with a husband's quest for his wife's spirit after she died of cancer in 1990. For three years he begged, threatened and cursed a God he didn't believe in until Anita learned to connect with him through channeling, a process described in the book. It took him over a year to decide that the messages weren't his own hallucinations and to be converted to a deist.

Norman has over 3,000 written letters from heaven, the first on pen and paper, the rest computer printouts, loving, teasing and funny in turn, casting light on everyday heaven - its food, dress, housing, relationships, its tasks and programs, the myriad miracles that make heaven the wondrous working paradise it is.

Heaven, she tells us, is no-fault territory, the destination for both good and bad souls after life, where true love is relearned and souls are purified of life's abrasions until voluntary reincarnation, usually to their planets of origin.
